Hello! I am Sara Hebert... designer, marketer and podcaster.
Marketing is the art of storytelling. By living vicariously through others’ experiences, we can become more compassionate human beings, build better communities and transform our world.
My tools in achieving that goal are marketing, PR, social media, film and podcast production, web design/development and a big ole heart.

Portfolio
William Joyce on Instagram
I began working with beloved filmmaker and author William Joyce in 2012, when I became marketing director at Moonbot Studios. Bill is eager to try new methods of distribution and after much encouragement decided to establish a social media presence in August 2015. Per my advisement, he began with Instagram (@heybilljoyce), allowing him the most comfort in sharing artwork in a highly-visual format. Fans rejoiced, gaining insight into his process and reveling in his reposts of fan art. Our most recent campaign focused on fans sharing their favorite childhood toys in support of Ollie’s Odyssey, his most recent chapter book.
By The Numbers:
- 13K+ followers
- 990 avg likes per post
- 100+ Favorite Toys From Fans
All Y’all Live Events & Podcasts
My co-founder, Chris Jay, and I began hosting live storytelling events based on The Moth in 2014. In only 2 years, our events have grown from 70 attendees to 300+, depending upon venue size. For live events, Chris and I curate stories on a chosen theme from our local community in Louisiana. Then, we select stories from the events for podcast episodes. Episodes garner 300-1,000+ listens each. Once a year, we donate all proceeds from a live event to a public good organization. We recently launched a new podcast, Stuffed & Busted, an irreverent podcast about food in the South.
Fun Facts:
- 1,100+ tickets sold
- $4,000+ donated
- 15,000+ episode listens via SoundCloud and iTunes
Modernism101.com
Booksellers Randall Ross and Molly McCombs are the proprietors of Modernism101.com, an e-commerce website that sells rare and unusual design books and periodicals. Their existing website offered very little e-commerce support: no shopping cart, manual inventory maintenance, content updates that required editing of PHP files. I worked with them to overhaul the website using Wordpress, WP E-Commerce and Paypal, identified a reliable web server and email protocol replacement. Their workflow has never been smoother, allowing them to focus on acquisitions and marketing products.

Parish Taceaux Logo Design
Shreveport restauranter Jason Brady is known for his cadre of restaurants including Wine Country Bistro & Bottle Shops, Zocolo and Southern Fork Catering. His latest, Parish Taceaux, was in need of an iconic logo that would represent the super-hip, new taceaux (not taco) shop in downtown Shreveport. After a round of exploration referencing Hatch Show prints, western cowboy imagery and hand drawn typography, we settled on saint iconography. What would a patron saint of taceauxs look like? The result is the restaurant’s logo – St. Jason of Taceaux.
TCM Movie Camp
Social media monitoring should be a core component to all marketing strategies. Moonbot’s relationship with Turner Classic Movies began with a tweet from producer David Byrne, who mentioned he loved the work of Moonbot Studios. I discovered it thanks to social media monitoring. A year later, Moonbot co-founders William Joyce and Brandon Oldenburg were hosting TCM Movie Camp, a summer-long series of movies that inspired them to become filmmakers. To promote the series, I lead a small team to create 7 explainer videos and 5 infographics, released via Moonbot Studios and TCM’s social media.
Fun Facts:
- The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore and The Numberlys – Cable TV premiere, available to 63MM+ homes.
- 1,300+ #TCMMovieCamp mentions
Moonbot Studios Film Festivals
Most filmmakers typically only have a single film on the festival circuit; however, at Moonbot Studios, we’ve had as many as three films competing simultaneously for top prizes. During my time at Moonbot, I was charged with film festival strategy, submissions, fulfilling all requirements, film traffic and promoting festival screenings. I’m proud to have secured 100+ film festival selections for Moonbot short films including Taking Flight, The Boy Who Learned To Fly, Dolby Presents: Silent, The Cask of Amontillado, The Raven, The Numberlys and The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore.
The Best of the Circuit:
- The Numberlys won top prizes at 10 festivals and was among the 10 films shortlisted for the Academy Award® for Best Animated Short in 2015.
- Taking Flight, The Boy Who Learned To Fly and Dolby Presents: Silent have been selected as Short of the Week upon being released online.
Moonbot Studios Film Festivals
With a highly talented, small, in-house documentary team, I’ve produced 12 “behind the scenes” or “making of” documentaries about projects at Moonbot Studios. By working closely with project directors and producers, my team and I identified core stories about the process of making the studios’ work and turned those into highly-consumable 3-5 minute documentary films, which supported social media and public relations efforts at launch.
